What is the Carver Place Neighborhood Like?
Carver Place subdivision is located within the Arlington View Neighborhood which can be described as a settled community – very family oriented. It has mainly single family homes of which more than half are owner-occupied. You will also find apartment buildings, co-ops, and condos in the neighborhood. The varied architectural styles include colonial townhomes, wooden bungalows and small brick houses going back to the 1940s.
Walk three blocks over and you’ll find the Harry W. Gray House – a Designated Arlington County Landmark. It’s a rare example of an early townhouse built by Harry W. Gray in 1881 (born a slave) based on homes he had seen in Washington D.C.
What’s Going on Near Carver Place?
