The Claremont neighborhood has an abundance of unique homes. This area of the city evolved during the post World War II era between 1946 and 1949 with two-story Colonial Revival style houses and one-and-a-half-story Cape Cod style houses. Then in 1954, Ranch-style houses were added.  

You will find many homes in the neighborhood that meet the style of those days.  Modifications and renovations are done in such a way that the original character of the homes remain.

On some of the newer streets in the neighborhood, you will also find split-level homes.

What you will not find in Claremont are McMansions!  

 

Getting Around Claremont

There is no Metro Rail, but you can get around this neighborhood using public transportation. Metro Bus lines in this neighborhood include:

  • Bus – 22A

There is also Arlington Rapid Transit (ART) and any of the two will take you to either Pentagon or Pentagon City Metro stations to catch the Blue and Yellow lines. The neighborhood is also close to Interstate 395 and Route 7.
